What sorrow awaits those who argue with their Creator. Does a clay pot argue with its maker? Does the clay dispute with the one who shapes it, saying, 'Stop, you're doing it wrong!' Does the pot exclaim, 'How clumsy can you be?'
Statistics show that somewhere between 80-90% of women and 43% of men are dissatisfied with their bodies.
The American Society of Plastic Surgeons reports that 15.6 million cosmetic procedures were performed in the United States in 2014, an increase of 3% from 2013.
A broken view of self-image results in preoccupation with the body.
When we obsess over our physical appearance, we are committing idolatry. We are idolizing ourselves instead of God!!!
We are not able to focus on worshipping God when we are too busy worrying about ourselves and how we measure up to our peers.
We have to stop partaking in and promoting self-hate!
