Certified Nursing assistant licensure

  • is earned by completion of 165 hours of a Nursing Assistant Course in a Florida State Board of Nursing Accredited Health Science Education Program. Upon completion the student is eligible to take the National Nursing Assistant Examination being utilized in Florida, in accordance with Chapter 464.203, F.S.

  • CNA's must renew licensure after the first year and then every 2 years thereafter .
  • Completion of 12 Continuing Education Units per year must be completed prior to licensure renewal.
  • Proof of CEU's and Fees are paid to the Florida Department of Health.
