A variety of webpages are linked. Some have been used in instruction, many others have not.

CBM required 2-3 times per year interrupts technology instruction

Knowing how to browse through tool bars and menus are critical to technology literacy.

Kinder-introduction
1st - 10 wpm with no errors
2nd - 12 wpm with no errors (practiced every class period for the first 10 minutes)
Homerow ---by observation not of immediate use to students so not important

First real link to outside technology is eBook reading

Blogging gives students an audience. A reason for reading and understanding to share what they've learned with others.

Navigate to blog posts and begin to assess our work. This was done 2 times this year and was part of my evaluation.

After blogging, we did some word work with
letter writing

Card making and printing

Timelines with the READ WRITE THINK website

and again with the Doodlebuddy app

We touched on Internet Safety with Netsmartz Kids

and Virtual Tours as I prepared to leave for a week

1st Graders worked toward a short version of "I'm Bored" by Michael Ian Black with Sock Puppets (this didn't work out because of the large class size and level of noise for recording)....but students were introduced to the app.

Some Kinders got to make animated cartoons with Toontastic.

All 2nd Grade started working on saving and retrieval of word documents.

One class got to do a Google Hangout with Wisconsin for Read Across America

One class got to do a Google Hangout with me in Hawaii at my hotel.

I'd definitely want to add Heads Up Pictures into my program as well as:

Paragraph writing for 2nd grade to build stamina
Thinglink
Animoto
