WHY TEACHING?

  • I want to make a difference in children's lives

  • Working with children always brightens my day
  • I want to inspire and ignite children's sense of learning

Haiku Deck is a very compelling and appealing tool that both students and teachers can utilize. It can provide individuals with a new and creative way to approaching otherwise mundane tasks. One way I could see Haiku Deck being especially useful in the classroom is when working with vocabulary. The attractive pictures would successfully provide students with a visual of the word which in turn would help them to learn and remember it. To get students even more involved in this, you could assign students to particular vocabulary words. They would then be responsible for making a slide with their word on it that includes the definition and picture of it. This would give students a sense of purpose while at the same time providing them with a fun way to learn.
