  • Edgar Allan Poe was an American writer, editor, and critic.
  • Allan Poe has had his works published since 1827.
  • In 1841 he was offered the job of being an editor, he accepted the job.
  • in 1827 Poe moved to Boston and enlisted in the United States Army.

  • Both of Poe's parents were professional actors.
  • Edgar Allan Poe was born on January 19,1809.
  • In 1826 Poe left Richmond, VA to study at the University of Virginia.
  • Poe was successful in his classes, but he accumulated a heavy amount of debt.

  • Poe had a young cousin that he married, and she died in February 1847 due to comsupmtion.
  • His cousin died at the age of 20.
  • In January 1845 the publication of " The Raven" made Poe a household name.
  • In October 1849 Allan Poe died at the age of 40 in Baltimore, Maryland.
