INTRO

  • Do you know why Pluto is considered a dwarf planet ?
  • Do you know what a space probe is ?
  • Do you know what the Pluto debate was really about ?
  • Or even what a astronomical unit is ?

PLANETS & PLUTO

  • Pluto is now classified as a dwarf planet since august 24,2003
  • Pluto and earth have a lot similarities and differences
  • The surface is covered in ice and yellow patches
  • Earth has land masses water and human life
  • Plutos atmosphere is full of nitrogen, also carbon monoxide and methane

CONTIUED...

  • Earth has a atmosphere of nitrogen oxygen etc.
  • Pluto cuts into neptunes orbit every 22 years
  • Earth basically stays on the same path
  • A cool thing is if earth were closer to the sun
  • Pluto would be a planet

SPACE PROBE

  • Space probes are space crafts that travel through space to collect
  • Science information some probes measure properties space ,
  • Others probes use telescopes or other instruments to study
  • Planets , stars , and galaxies that are far away .
  • Using space probes cost less money because there un piloted

ASTRONOMICAL UNIT

  • Do you know what a astronomical unit is?
  • A astronomical unit is unit of measurement equal
  • To 149.6 million kilometers it's the mean distance
  • From the center of the earth to the center of the sun .
  • It's used for distance within our solar system
