While everyone has a preferred language that speaks to them the loudest, each is an important way of expressing affection.

Each language is deeper than just its literal meaning. Physical affection means more than just sex, gifts are more than the material items, and acts of service is more than the physical action. It's about the meaning behind it; spending time to pick out the perfect gift, quality time with no distractions, acts of service to relieve your partner's stress.

People have a tendency to express love in their own preferred language by default, but learning the preferred languages of our love ones can help improve our relationships by showing love the way it want to be received.
