Why did your parents decide to name you with the name you have?
I was adopted, my birth mother's only request is that I keep my name, Kathleen. My parents nick-named me "Katie".
Is there any specific meaning for your name?
Kathleen was my biological great grandmother's name. There's no other meaning that I know of for my full name.
When I was in third grade, my music teacher said that "Katie" sounded immature, and that I should change it to "Kate", in front of the entire class. I still request people to call me Katie.
