Giving in to avoid war. Hitler counted on this to get territory.

Enabled Germany and Italy to gain strategies of warfare.

WWI debt, Great Depression, lack of resources, WWI financial reparations.

Japan attacked America in Hawaii on December 7, 1941.

Used on both sides of the war to demonize each other and their targets. 

People of Japanese heritage were held in camps in the western U.S. 

Jews and other religions were sent to concentration camps run by Nazis.

Women worked in factories to make weapons for the allied countries.

Allied powers won the war by bombing Japan and pushing the Germans back.
