PRESENTATION OUTLINE

CELL MEMBRANE

MONITORS AND CONTROLS ENTRY INTO AND OUT OF A CELL
A security guard controls who enters and leaves the school, like a cell membrane monitors entry into and out of a cell.

CYTOPLASM

WHERE ALL ORGANELLES ARE HELD WITHIN A CELL
The school floor is the base of the school, which everything else lies upon. It relates to the cytoplasm because the cytoplasm is where all organelles are held within the cell.

NUCLEUS

CONTROLS ALL CELL ACTIVITY
The principal directs all things that should be done in school, as the nucleus controls what's in the cell.

CYTOSKELETON

SUPPORTS AND MAINTAINS CELL'S SHAPE
The ceilings and beams supports the school, just as a cytoskeleton supports a cell.

SMOOTH ER

CONTAINS SPECIAL ENZYMES THAT ARE SENT OFF TO DO TASKS ACROSS CELL
The school bus system sends students home and brings them to school, like smooth ER sends it's enzymes across the cell.

ROUGH ER

WHERE RIBOSOMES DO THEIR HARD WORK ASSEMBLING PROTEINS
The classrooms are where students complete their work and learn. The rough ER is a place where ribosomes do their hardwork.

RIBOSOME

ORGANELLE THAT MAKES PROTEINS & GET INSTRUCTIONS FROM CELL GENES
Students do tasks directed by the teacher and ribosomes get instruction from cell genes.

GOLGI APPARATUS

PREPARES PROTEINS FOR USE OR EXPORTS OUT OF THE CELL
The senior class is preparing to move on after school and be useful to the world, as Golgi apparatus prepares proteins to export out of the cell.

VESICLE

SMALL ORGANELLE CONTAINS & TRANSPORTS MATERIALS WITHIN CYTOPLASM
The school secretary takes notes and delivers them to people who need them. The vesicle transports materials with the cytoplasm.

MITOCHONDRIA

POWER HOUSE OF CELL AND PRODUCES ENERGY TO FUEL CELL ACTIVITIES
The generator allows electricity to fill the school in order to continue activities just as the mitochondria fuels the cell for it to continue the activities and produce energy.

VACUOLE

ORGANELLE STORES MATERIALS NEEDED BY CELL
The janitor's closet contains materials in order to keep the school running, as a vacuole stores materials that are needed to keep the cell running.

LYSOSOME

BREAK DOWN CELL WASTE SO PARTS CAN BE REUSED
The janitor keeps the school clean. The lysosome makes sure that the cell waste broken down, so it can be reused and clean.

CELL WALL

MAINTAINS CELL SHAPE AND PROTECTS IT FROM PHYSICAL DAMAGE
The wall in a school surrounds the school, so everything kept in place and in shape. The cell wall maintains the cell's shape and structure.

CHLOROPLAST

CONVERTS THE ENERGY OF THE SUN INTO CHEMICAL ENERGY
The cafeteria is where students and faculty get food in order for them to eat and have energy as the chloroplast converts energy of the sun into chemical energy.
