Harlem Renaissance

• it became a time where many African American expressed themselves using art, music,and poetry.

One of the most famous poet is Langston Hughes. Some of his poetry we read today. As well as Arron Douglas, we see some of his art work today too.

They succeed in bringing serious critical consideration, and respect to African America arts and ideas.

Great Migration

• A point in time where many African American moved from southern states to the north.

Most moved because of poor economic conditions in the south. Also because racism was really bad. And because many farmers lost their crops due to floods, and insects.

Civil Right Act

• It let African American and immigrants have more equal rights.

A act that was passed to stop discrimination .They got to have better jobs and got to vote.
