  • Homework is frustrating
  • Homework is very time consuming
  • Kids don't have very much time between all of their other activities
  • It is the family's effort to get the student through school
  • If the material is not explained proporly, that just makes homework even more stressful

The first and most obvious reason is that homework is very frustrating. If the student doesn't understand the material, then it will be difficult for the assignment to get done.

Second of all, homework takes lots of time and effort. Kids may not be getting to sleep until 11-12:00, and if they don't get proper sleep then they can't do their best.

The third reason that parents should help kids with homework is because kids may have extracaricular activities during the day and not have time to do their homework until late at night.

The fourth reason is that it's just the families effort to get their kid through school when they help. For the parents that do help, it is just their way of helping their child be successful.

The fifth and final reason that parents should help kids with homework is becuase if the material is not explained very well to the child, then they will not be learning anything. There is more of a chance that the child will just be guessing on the assignments given to them. Also the parents have already learned the concepts that the child is learning and if the student cannot access the teacher, then the parents would be the next best source.
