  • Dedicated his life to the aid of African slaves

  • He nursed the sick slaves and comforted the scared ones

Aloysius Gonzaga

  • Destined for a military career as a noble man,but gave up this life to join the jesuit order
  • volunteered to care for the sick and dying at a Jesuit hospital when plague broke out in Rome
  • Died shortly before his ordination from the disease
