Question 5 of my evaluation.

PRESENTATION OUTLINE

Question 5

How did you attract and address your target audience?

Throughout my experience in sixth form I know that I myself enjoy being treated more as an adult than a child, having more privileges and being able to get my dinner that bit faster! When thinking about how I would attract and address my audience I used some of my own personal knowledge of sixth form and also target research.

On the front cover I used pictures of happy sixth form students in their signature striped shirts. I knew that this would automatically give off a theme that this magazine was mainly for senior students as the whole front cover is based around them.

In my contents page I used green and white as my house style colors, this fits in with the green and white striped shirts that sixth form students wear to let the rest of the school know that they are senior students. I included cover lines like 'hints and tips for UCAS points' 'What direction are your A-levels taking you in?' etc. These are articles that will specifically appeal to sixth form students as very soon they will have all of these important decisions in front of them.

All of the articles I have included such as UCAS points, articles about A-levels, and also articles about increasing success in your life will all has help entice my sixth form audience as these are the sorts of articles that my sixth form audience are supposed to be up to date in, also through the use of the color green and white, which are the sixth form main colors. Lastly, I used informal and friendly language to make my magazine seem inviting to my target audience.

All of the articles I have involved such as UCAS points, University articles, Career Articles, Study planning etc, will all help entice my sixth form audience as these topics are the sort of thing that sixth form students are supposed to be up to DATE it, also, through the use of the colours green and white, which are the sixth form main colours.
