  • Mercury is the second densest planet after Earth
  • Closest to he sun
  • Terrestrial planet
  • Smallest planet in our solar system

FACTS

  • Called earths sister planet
  • Second planet from the sun
  • Similar size to earth
  • It is 67 million miles from the sun
  • Temperature on Venus is 462*c

FACTS

  • 1/8 of earths surface is covered with deserts
  • 1/10 of earths surface is covered with mountains
  • 1/4 of earths surface is covered with forests
  • Third planet from the sun

FACTS

  • Fifth planet from the sun
  • Smaller than earth
  • Terrestrial planet
  • Rocky dusty and dry
  • Called he red planet

FACTS

  • Has over 63 moons
  • Has armed spot bigger than earth
  • Fifth planet from the sun

  • Outer planet

Model-
A physical representation of an object

Comet-
An icy body that is part of our solar system

Heliosphere-
A bubble that in space that is blown into the interstellar medium by the solar wind

Galilean Moons-
The 4 moons of Jupiter discovered by Galileo in January 1610

Astoriod-
Are classes of small solar system bodies in our solar system. They have also been called planetoids especially the larger ones

Meteoroids-
A sand to boulder size piece of debris in the solar system

Meteor-
The visible path of a meteoroid that has entered the Earths atmosphere. They usually burn up 40 to 70 miles above the Earth.

Meteorite-
An object originating in outer space that survives impact with earth

Solar system-
Consists of the sun and the astronomical objects gravitationally bound in orbit around it.

Kuiper Belt-
Is a region of the solar system beyond the planets extending from orbit of Neptune to approximately 5O AU from the sun.It is similar to the asteroid belt but I'd much larger 20 times as wide and 20 to 200 times massive

Oort Cloud-
A hypothesized cloud of comets which may lie roughly 50,000 AU from the sun

Astronomical Unit-
A unit of length equal to about (149,597,870.3mi) or (92,955,807.3mi) or approximately the Earth/Sun distance apart
