What is it?

• It is what the sky and the air outside are like such as cold or cloudy.

• Some days the sky is clear blue and other days it is full of white, fluffy clouds?

Types of clouds

• Cirrus
• Alto
• Stratus
• Cumulus
• Cumulonimbus

For instance:

Cirrus

Cirrus clouds are thin clouds made of ice crystals that form very high in the sky. These clouds are the highest clouds

Alto Clouds

Alto clouds are found in the middle part of the sky.

Stratus Clouds

Stratus Clouds are found low in the sky and they are puffy and gray.

Cumulus Clouds

Cumulus Clouds are white and puffy like cotton balls and dissapear after sunset.

Cumulonimbus Clouds

Cumulonimbus Clouds have flat tops and they are very tall.

Floods

Sometimes water covers streets and enters houses.

Droughts

It occurs when two little precipitation falls in an area.

Thunder Storms

These are storms with thunders, lightning and heavy rain.

Tornado

It is a rotating column of air and it looks like a funnel or an upside-down cone.

Hurricane

It is a strong tropical storm and it forms from a thunder storm over very warm ocean water.

Blizzards

It is a winter storm with snow and very strong winds.

Nor' Easter Winter Storm

It is a winter storm that takes place along the Atlantic Coast and it can cause waves to be as high as they are durring a hurrican.

All these severe weather events cause great damage.
