National Standards are a basis for the entire country. State Standards are unique to each individual state. Both standards must be met in public schools.
NATIONAL STANDARDS ARE IMPORTANT TO MAKE SURE THAT ALL STUDENTS IN THE COUNTRY HAVE A SIMILAR EDUCATION AND HAVE THE ABILITY TO BE GOOD CITIZENS; as well as to regulate the states.
