WHAT IS ANXIETY?

  • A mental health disorder characterized by feelings of worry, anxiety, or fear that are strong enough to interfere with one's daily activities

SYMPTOMS

  • Whole body: fatigue, restlessness, or sweating
  • Behavioral: hypervigilance or irritability
  • Cognitive: racing thoughts or unwanted thoughts

DSM V CLASSIFICATION

  • the fear, anxiety, or avoidance is persistent, typically lasting 6 or more months."
