Early Life

Mia Hamm was born Mariel Margaret Hamm on March 17, 1972, in Selma, Alabama. She was considered the best female soccer player in history. Mia Hamm played with the United States women's national soccer team for 17 years. She was named FIFA's "World Player of the Year" in both 2001 and 2002.

Personal Life

Mia Hamm is married to Nomar Garciaparra, a professional baseball player. She has 3 kids, Garret Garciaparra, Ava Garciaparra, and Grace Garciaparra. They live in La Habra Heights, California.
