PRESENTATION OUTLINE

How to make a Bristlebot

with LA10 and LA33

Parts needed

  • Coin cell battery
  • Toothbrush head
  • Vibration motor
  • Double-sided tap

Step One

  • Place a small square of double-sided tape onto one end of the toothbrush
  • Press down firmly and remove the backing pape

Step Two

  • Take the coin cell battery and place it on top of the double-sided tap
  • Press down firmly to ensure that it sticks

Step Three

  • Bend the two wires on the battery back, like the antenna of a bug

Step Four

  • Place the motor directly on top of the toothbrush behind the battery
  • Ensure the motor and the battery are centred on top of the toothbrush to prevent your Bristlebot from tipping over

Step Five

  • Connect the wires: Take one wire from the battery and one from the motor then twist the two ends together (twist them tightly so they don't come apart)

Step Six

  • Complete the circuit: Twist together the remaining two wires.
  • Put the Bristlebot down and it will start to move around

Congratulations!

You have made your very own robot.
