Damon is a healthy guy. He has been sugar free for 3 years.
Damon and his wife are expecting a baby. They want to bring their child up in a healthy environment. They decide to research and test out the influence of sugar on people.

The average Australian family consumes 5kg of sugar per week
80% of food in supermarkets contains unhealthy amounts of sugar.
Damon decides to conduct an experiment on himself . He will eat 40 teaspoons of sugar per day for 6 weeks. He will eat only products with 'hidden sugars.'
Damon will consult with doctors and experts along the way to monitor his health as a result of the sugar intake.
He quickly starts to gain weight and to feel sick. He loses concentration easily and feels grumpy.
During the 6 weeks he travels both in Australia and overseas to research sugar. He travels to the USA and is amazed at the sugar advertising everywhere.
Damon interviews a teenager in North Carolina. He is addicted to Mountain Dew and has lost all of his teeth.
In Australia, Damon comes across an Aboriginal community that banned Coke.
Unfortunately a health watchdog was no longer funded by the government. The result was the death of many young people related to too much sugar.
By the end of 6 weeks Damon has gained 8.5 kg. His liver was dangerously fatty according to experts, and if he carried on eating sugar at that rate may have developed diabetes.
