The most common meal in Belize is white rice and kidney beans. This dish could go along with a side of stewed chicken, beef, or fish. Fruits are also abundant and part of the daily diet.

The largest and most celebrated holidays occur in September. A street party on St. George's Caye day and on independence day with various celebrations in between. Many of these holidays honoring the first settlers to come to belize.

English is the official language in Belize and, everyone speaks it except in remote areas. Most people also speak creole as everyday speech is mostly a creole- english combination. The creole language is a english based language with roots that go back to days of slavery

Belizeans Enjoy attending concerts and school fairs or watching the latests movies at home. They like reggae, calyspo, soca, and various types of American music. One of the local favorites is punta-rock, which roots to the garifuna culture.
