Sufis and Hajj

Sufis
Muslim movement where followers have direct encounters with their God and find define truth, meaning, etc.

It focuses on loss of self, self-control, and focus of the mind in religious practices with the goal of encountering God.

Rituals include writing (literature), poems, hymns, praying, meditation, calling God’s names etc. - things with deeper meanings.

Hajj

Hajj is the Fifth Pillar of the Islam. It occurs on the 12th month of the Islam lunar calendar.

It includes the pilgrimage to the holy city, Mecca, in Saudi Arabia. There one stays for 5 days.

This represents to those that all are similar, under the same religion. It teaches on patience, and can allow them to be reborn with a new life
