  • Attack led the U.S to enter WWII

AUGUST 3 1942

  • Battle of Stalingrad
  • Germany & the Soviet Union fought for Stalingrad
  • Turning point in WWII for Europe

JULY 5 1944

  • D Day
  • Day & hour of operation hasn't been determined
  • Western Allies want to liberate most of Europe

DECEMBER 16 1944

  • Battle of the Bulge
  • Attack surprised Allied forces
  • They became the costliest battle of casualties

MAY 8 1945
