OLDSYLE FONT

  • Low contrast between thick and thin stokes.
  • Wedge shaped serifs.
  • Left leaning axis or stress.
  • Lowercase ascenders taller than the height of capital letters.

SCRIPT FONT

  • Typefaces with a personal touch.
  • Script fonts are based on the copperplate.
  • Resembles calligraphy and handwriting fonts.

DECORATIVE FONT

  • Features such as swashes and exaggerated serifs.
  • A font that is visually appealing.

SANS FONT

  • Comes with many different names. Comic sans, Gill sans...etc.
  • Without any flags or serifs.

MODERN FONT

  • Modern fonts are recognizable by their long serifs.
  • There is no slant on the letters.
  • They tend to look very structured and are considered cold.
