Animal And Vegetable Fats
Animals fats and oils are lipid materials delivered from animal. Oils are mainly extracted from tissue fats. Vegetable fats are plant-based instead of animal. Most vegetable fats are healthy in that they come in the form of unsaturated fats.

Saturated and unsaturated fats
Eating a diet that is high in saturated fats can raise the level of cholesterol in the blood. This leads to heart disease. An unsaturated fat is a fatty acid. They are liquids at room temperature, unlike saturated fats, they are solids at room temperature.

Task (5minutes)

Give 3 food examples for all the different fats we just
talked about.

Health problems

By eating a diet with high saturated fats, it can lead to high cholesterol in the blood. This can then lead to heart disease.

Write down the ingredient of your favourite meal and look at the fat content. Now plan your favourite meal with healthier alternatives . If u have finished compare it with your partner.
