Lodi Prenatal and Parenting Project

Site of the 2016 SELC District Professional Church Workers Conference
Across the street is a public park along the Lake Michigan shoreline
In the parkway there is a new tree. See it?
Stakes and guide wires hold it up
(One or two project volunteers can help the staff with equipment and setup)
Mulch nourishes and protects it
(One or two volunteers can help the clients feel welcomed and at ease)
But wait! There's more!
The DeKoven Center has beautiful, park-like grounds and gardens
Remember the new tree in the parkway?
It stands all alone
A new tree planted in these gardens would be surrounded by lots of interesting things
Activities at the Lodi Family Center surround the Ultrasound Client with lots of interesting things
Entry to the "Bishop's Garden"
(A volunteer greeter might help bring clients and their families into the Family Center)
Other volunteers might "tend the flowers and plants"
(help with crafts, games, reading, conversation, or other Center activities)
There's always some maintenance work to be done in a garden . . .
. . . and someone who can fix things is always welcome at the Family Center, too!
There are loads of easy volunteer opportunities around this project . . .
