My presentation will cover the international organization, North Highland, a worldwide consulting business that specializes in a variety of industries.

Some examples of industries that North Highland creates business solutions and offer consulting services to business within the United States and throughout the world. North Highland also employs the best of the consultants to offer services which no one lower than a Senior Consultant is hired.

Aside from the United States, North Highland has offices and partnering companies throughout the world.

The United States is not the only America that North Highland offers services to but also South America.

Europe is a hotbed of businesses that require consulting services and industrial solutions.

The Middle East is another location in which North Highland offers services.

Asian countries and countries within the Pacific region is another location.

A unique feature of this company is its choice to hire and partner with companies in the countries in which they offer consulting services. So, companies would not need to send employees on expensive trips to a consultant's country to get help.

The cultural issue that affects this organization as well as many others is the company's presence and how it is affected by the surrounding culture. Also, the manner in which a company enters the foreign business market is another issue that coincides with the first issue.

North Highland's approach to markets is inquiring with local resources and consulting agencies that align with the company culture, values, and its qualities.

An example of failure in North Highland's history is their attempt to enter China's market through a partnership but the Chinese company did not abide with North Highland's values and company direction. Also, North Highland's brand and vision was abused.

North Highland in the United States as well as the partnering companies are encouraged to volunteer and give time to the community.

Ethical perspective two:

All employees are encouraged to complete an assessment that highlights the "bias" level of the individual taking the test. Its purpose is to inform the test-taker of the level that they operate on and what bias they may possess so they can improve.

North Highland is making progress already. The assessment test is a right direction in increasing awareness of country's cultures and values so business can go unhindered.

An exchange program can be a great opportunity for employees in which cultures can be experienced and shatter the bias viewpoints that individuals may possess.
