IN TWO DAYS
Hughes was a notoriously fast writer.
During his productive peak, he was known to knock out a whole screenplay in a weekend.

THE BREAKFAST CLUB CONFESSIONS WERE IMPROVISED
John Hughes showed a great deal of trust in his teenage actors where the kids tell each other why they’re in detention. It was completely improvised by each actor.

Rarely gave interviews.
By the 1990's, shunned publicity completely, withdrawing from public life

He died on August 6, 2009
