The Takahe is an extinct bird that was found in Murchison mountain by geoffrey orbell.but it is found in the south island and the north island and kapiti island

The Takahe eats leaf bases,tussock grasses,sedges and rushes.

Its colour is red blue green and cyan blue it is a flightless bird that they have bracelets on there legs. And the takahe is a rare bird

The takahe is 50 cm and 3-2.5 weight

in the Th century they were thought to be extinct

The Kaka is a native parrot in new zealand it is found in nz forests

The kaka eats fruit,berries,seeds,flowers,buds,nectar,saplants

The kaka has a brush tongue to take nectar from flowers

They make extensive use of there feet to hold food and to hang from branches to reach fruit and flowers

kaka play in a important role in the forest by pollinating flowers

The fantail is found in the south island and kapiti island it is a very fast bird

The fantail eats small invertebrates,moths,flies,
beetles and spiders.

the length of a fantail is 16 cm and the weight of the fantail is 8g

The fantails tail is twice the size of its own body and when it is in a fight with its pray they put there tails up
