INTERACTION ACROSS LANGUAGES

Google Classroom has a 'tool library' with multiple applications that aid in tranlanguaging pedagogy and support multilingual students in assessing and engaging with content.

Microsoft OneNote promotes collaboration between peers and teachers and allows for more meaningful interaction with content.

INTERACTIVE PRESENTATION TOOLS

  • PEAR DECK
  • NEAR POD
  • both allow students to share ideas and drawings with the teacher and classmates
  • students choose their language to respond to questions and the teacher can translate and respond in their language, which can then be translated by the student
Both of these presentation tools allow students to respond in the language of their choice, allowing students to self-differentiate and understand complex ideas.

  • FLIP GRID
  • both allow interaction among students in their chosen language.
  • features such as closed caption provide context and can be copied and translated for comprehension
These applications allow students to build confidence in a language they are not yet completely comfortable. These allow students to practice listening and speaking skills.
