Connotation: an idea or feeling which a word invokes for a person in addition to its literal or primary meaning

Motif:a dominant or recurring idea in an artistic work

Mise en Scene: everything that appears before the camera and its arrangement—composition, sets, props, actors, costumes, and lighting

This relates to my work as I will be using these concepts to create semiotics which will be interpreted by different audience members in varying ways depending on numerous factors such as their culture and upbringing.
