SCOTCH BROOM

Scotch broom,
it might look pretty but its actually destroying the environment. humans made a harmful impact on the environment by throwing a bunch of scotch broom, in the environment. You might think it will go away but each plant produces 3500 pods filled with 5-10 seeds.

In this picture theres wild flowers. but If the scotch broom continues to grow, it will eventually takeover the wild flowers. Scotch broom seeds grow fast and spread a lot.

Scotch broom is also very flammable. luckily Gerry oak trees and Douglas fur trees have strong bark. but there’s only so much they can take before they burn Down.

Human impact isn't all bad, they also help the environment by cutting down scotch broom. And other invasive species. Not many people know about the scotch broom and how it’s ruining the environment.

One other way humans can help the environment is cutting down other invasive species to such as butterfly bush,blueweed,common periwinkle,common tansy and more.
