DECLARITIVE SENTENCE

  • A Declaritive sentence is a statement that states something and ends with a period.
  • Ex. Ellis does not like school.

IMPERITIVE SENTENCE

  • An imperitive sentence is a command that tells you to do something and ends with an exclamation point or period.
  • Ex. Ellis do your homework!
  • Ex. Ellis do your homework.

INTERROGITIVE SENTENCE

  • An interogitive sentence is a question that ends with a question mark.
  • Ex. Did Ellis do his homework?

EXCLAMITORY SENTENCE

  • An exclamitory sentence is a sentence that ends in an exclamation mark but isn't a command because it's not telling you to do something
  • Ex. I'm so excited!
