Geography

• Mesopotamia is between two rivers Tigris and Euphrates, the Euphrates flows through Syria

Gods Goddesses and Demons

• Each city had their own god or goddess to protect them
• The demons were created by the gods and the demons could be good or bad

Time

• Mesopotamia was over 6 thousand years ago and they adopted cultures, traditions, and beliefs, Mesopotamian history is now buried beneath the sand and soil and has been for thousands of years. a writing system was developed, empires were created and monumental buildings were constructed.

Writing

• They made the earliest form of a written language, they used pictograms, pictograms were used to communicate about crops and taxes.

Role of Ziggurats

• Ziggurats are alot like temples but Ziggurats have platforms and steps Temples were originally built on platforms. But then the Babylonian and Assyrian cities constructed the Ziggurats.
