• It was first found in Dublin
• The name was strongly influenced by the Norman invasion led by strongbow in 1172
• The name is found mostly in Tipperary and Wicklow

THE GREAT MIGRATION

• The Great Migration happened during the Irish Famine which affected most families in Ireland.
• A lot of Families went to countries like America, Australia, and Canada.
• An example is a woman named Ann Mulhall aged 21 who arrived in south Australia aboard the ship "Marshall Benet"
