PRESENTATION OUTLINE

The word Plankton comes from a Greek word which is Planktos and it means drifting.

Plankton
are tiny plants and animals that live in oceans,rivers and lakes. The Plant Plankton are called Phytoplankton and the animal Plankton is called Zooplankton.

Plankton use a process called Photosynthesis and it means Plankton release oxygen into the air. Half the earth oxygen is produced by Plankton.

Plankton Is also good for us because it's food for the bigger fish and we eat fish.

When water gets polluted the Plankton grows fast and it becomes toxic and it's called toxic bloom. This is harmful because it can give people skin rashes and it can make fish die.

It is very important to keep the ocean clean because the Plankton eat the rubbish and then the big fish come and eat the Plankton and then people eat the fish and this can cause bad health for people that eat the fish and you can get very ill.
