I am from running circles

I Am from summers outside splashing

i am from knives and fire and the buglers call

• on my honor
• i will do my duty
• to god and my country
• i will obey the scout law
• i will keep myself physically strong
• mentally awake
• and morally straight

i am from tv screens and and old woman left dead on the sidewalk

i am from baileys boulevard

• orange peels
• the impaler
• the cave
• its the cheese that binds us
• don't think about the fifty foot rope ladder

i am from heart in my chest and tights on my thighs

i am from books in hand and in laptop in lap

i am from reading the textbook for the story

i am from 26.2 miles

i am from spontaneous decisions

i am from a self determined path
