• Get Mary to help her..
• Worrier & frets about so many things..
• Jesus said: Mary has chosen the better part..

JESUS'APPARENT CRITICISM..

• ..that Mary chose the better part..Luke 10:38-42
• However..Jesus does not downplay housework on this particular instance..

Rather..Jesus invites Martha to keep her focus on the life of the spirit even while working and not to let anxiety distract her..

Jesus did not prevent Martha from listening while in the kitchen..after all, a woman in the kitchen often knows exactly what is going on in the rest of her house..

John's gospel remembers Martha's deep personal faith in Jesus..it is SHE who believed in RESURRECTION from the dead for those who die in faith..
