To my cousin’s house!”
“Dang it!”
“What?”
“I won’t be able to have a play date with you?”
“Oh don’t worry I’ll come back on Sunday.”
“Oh phew”

Luckily his Mum allowed him to play outside with his friends.
“Thank you so much Mum!” And Jamie hugged her.
“No prob” replied Lisa and just like that, Jamie was running outside. When Jamie got to his friends, Jack wasn’t there.
“Hey, where’s Jack Bailey?” Asked Jamie. “No I haven’t seen him.”
Anyway Jamie could hear the sound of balls, laughing, and screaming (in a good way).
He could smell the smell of rubbish of bins, and food, and other things. He could also feel the air and the warmth from the sun. As well as that, he was talking to Bailey as they were playing catch. And then his mum called him inside

“Aww but Mum!”
“NOW!”
“Sorry Bailey, Bye!”
“Bye!” Said Bailey and as he has nothing to do, Bailey (and Jamie) went inside. Jamie normally has a snack when he got home so he just had a cracker; he wasn’t hungry. He did his horrible homework upstairs and has his cracker as well. Then he got stuck on a bit but the same time he heard Mum downstairs saying “Oh no.” And “This is bad.” Jamie felt confused so he went downstairs. “Hi- oh...err... are you ok?”
“Y-yes I’m fine.”
“Could I take Becky outside for...like...a run-around?”

However, when Jamie got outside, he thought about something and decided to talk to his dog about it.
“Hey Becky, Do you think Mum is ok? Yes? I’m not sure. She doesn’t look very well. Huh? What’s that? You think she’s got lots of work to do? Ahh, ok. Are you sure? Ok. Hmm...but what if there is something else wrong?” He said, pretending Becky was talking to him.

It was dinner and Mum was just eating her dinner. “Mum please can you tell me if your o-“
“I’m fine!” She blurted out. Jamie didn’t decide to talk for the rest of dinner. Jamie started at Becky, then Becky stared at Jamie. Becky ran away upstairs. That means Becky must know what’s going on too! thought Jamie. “Thanks for Tea. Can I get ready for bed now?” Asked Jamie has politely as possible. “Yes, o-of course.” He replied trying to make a smile.

Then, as Jamie went to sleep, he had a dream, a nightmare about a storm destroying everyone’s house...except their’s. And Jamie had nothing to do. And when they got inside Mum asked “Why would our house not be destroyed?” Then they found a letter. And it said something. It said ‘Your house is going to be next...’

Jamie gasped and woke up. He woke up quite early so he just got breakfast and got ready quickly so he could play with his friends online. “Good morning mum! How are you?”
“Hi! And I’m good thank you. How are you?
“Good.” Then Jamie said something that might have been Mum’s secret.…

“Is there going to be a storm soon?”
She frowned faster than anything Jamie has seen before. And finally she sighed and said
“Yes...”

Part 2 - The Severe storm

On the next day of school, he had been thinking about what he should do when the storm comes. He did this at break and lunch break. “Mmm aha!” Is what he’d say if a suggestion pops into his head. Later on, Jack and Bailey found where he was.
“Umm Jamie what are you doing?” Asked Jack.
“Nothing just please leave me alone.” Jamie said super quickly.
“Are you-“
“Yes! Whatever! Just leave me alone!” Jamie yelled. He sighed.
“Just leave me alone.” He repeated quieter.
“Jamie, we are your friends, and friends work together, they have fun, and sometimes they talk about what they’re worried about, so please tell us what’s going on.” Jack said.

“Fine. Come with me then.” He replied. He went to somewhere in the playground where nobody would normally go. “Listen, I have heard that there is going to be a storm soon.”
“Oh ok that should be fine. All we need to do is stay inside.” Said Bailey.
“Oh no, this one, this is a real REAL biggie and it can destroy buildings.
“WHAT?!” they both shouted.
“Shut up! Someone could hear us!” Jamie said
“Ok so what should we do.”
“Do not tell anybody in this school otherwise this will spread. Hmm...”
“What.” Asked Jack
“Maybe we should tell the teachers about it and say to not tell any of the children.

Should we?” Asked Jamie
“Well maybeeee...”
“Yeah! Lets do it!” Says Bailey.
“Bailey, you can’t just say that straight away.” Says Jamie.
“Can I? I mean the school likes you soooooo”
“Ok, ok I will... Could you 2 come with me?”

1 hour later...

“Great! Now we get to go home early!” Happily says Bailey.
“Yay. Not great. We have a storm coming.”Jamie says as if he was speaking sarcastically. Bailey gasped.
“Oh yeah.”
“Maybe tell your parents that a storm is coming if they don’t know.”
“Alright.” They both replied.
“Be careful guys. Take care.”

Jamie arrive home and got his bags out. “Hey mum!” “H-hey!” Mum tried to say. She was carrying loads of bags and suitcases.
“Mum what is this?”
“It’s what we’re doing. We’re going to pack bags to go. When the storm comes, we will drive away to a hotel or something like that.”
“Have you already booked a hotel?!”
“Yes. Why do you sound so surprised?”
“I had literally made a plan for what we should’ve done.”
“Oh no no you didn’t need to do that.” For some reason there was a pause and then Mum said “Help me pack your bags, we’re going tomorrow.” They went upstairs into his

Bedroom and then he look out the window. He saw cloud surrounding his town that looked like that was the storm.

BANG! KAPOW! went the lightning. The storm was probably a kilometre away and they were starting to get the stuff into the car.
“Come on! Come on!” Shouted mum through the storm.
“Quick get in!” Mum hated this.
“Erm mum?” Jamie said.
“What is it sweetie?”
“I don’t like this. I’m scared.”
“Don’t worry, everything is going to be just fine. We’ll go to a safe hotel, in a safe room, in a nice safe place.”
Jamie’s heart was pounding. He could hear the crackling and bangs of lightning and the

Wind and rain streaming across their car window. He could see trees falling down over cars and building falling. Then Jamie looked up.
“Mum! Look! The storm is disappearing!”
“That’s great.”
“So are you gonna turn around or-WOAH!” Said Jamie. They actually didn’t turn but swerve round a roundabout.

Soon enough, they got into town. It was completely wrecked by the storm. They couldn’t hear anything except the wind and their footsteps. All the houses were destroyed...except their’s. And when they got inside, mum asked “Why would our house noth be destroyed?” Then they found a letter. And it said something...Jamie had read before. And it said ‘Your house is going to be next...’
