POPULAR SOVEREGNITY

• The people are the governments power to function.

REPUBLICANISM

• The people elect one person to go to the legislature and tell their opinion.

LIMITED GOVERMEMT

• The government only has the power stated in the constitution.

FEDERALISM

• Where the power is separated between the States and the federal government.

SEPARATION OF POWER

• The three branches of government power are separated between one another.

CHECKS AND BALANCES

• When the three branches of government check others and equal the power if they have to much.

INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS

• The first ten amendments of the constitution ( Bill of Rights).
