What the infection does?
The infection causes cold sores or fever blisters, which is near or on the lips. Type 2 is genital sores.
In order to get it diagnosed they can do a herpes culture or blood test.
Herpes Simplex is a viral infection.
Treatment
Type 1 medicine can speed healing and reduce recurrence. Type 2 medications can be used to manage outbreaks.
Herpes is spread through direct contact with fluid from the lesion.
