• March 6: Crimea declares union with Russia
• Ukraine denies this as against the constitution
• Anti-gov protests in city, Kiev
• Violence: when police try to move protestors
• 1000 people lost their lives, injured

RESOLUTION

• President Viktor Yanukovych was forced from power.
• arrest of Mr Yanukovych, who has fled to Russia
• and vowed to support Ukraine
• Olexander Turchynov is the temporary president
• The country will now prepare for the election on May 25
