SOME HAZARDS ARE...

  • Dehydration
  • Malnutrition
  • Viruses from bugs
  • Diseases from bugs
  • Hypothermia

CAUSES

  • Malnutrition is caused by not eating food for several weeks.
  • Dehydration is caused by a deficiency of total body water.
  • Viruses and diseases from bugs are caused by them carrying infection and biting you.
  • Hypothermia is caused by not wearing sufficient clothing.

HOW TO AVOID....

  • Dehydration- drink at least 1 liter per hour.
  • Malnutrition- Carry extra food.
  • Diseases from bugs- wear repellent that is provided with DEET.
  • Viruses from bugs- Use insect repellents that contain an EPA-registered active ingredient and wear long sleeves and long pants.
  • Hypothermia- Wear sufficient clothing.

  • A device that would help with diseases and viruses is insect repellent.
