TAIGA

BY: JEFFREY, DEISY, CHRISTIAN,SEBASTIAN

Taiga is located in the northern part of the northern hemisphere and is in North America, Asia, and Europe it. Stretches across Alaska,Canada,Scandinavia, and Russia, spreading through northern hemispher

Since decomposition slow, the soil is thin and lacking in nutrients.
Trees grow taller where taiga is where it is warmer ( so things can decay) or by a stream.where the water can carry the nutrients.
Taiga has fewer plants and animals than any other biomes
Because of cold temperatures decomposition is slow in the taiga.dead vegetation will pile up on the forest floor making a sponge-like covering

The climate in taiga is very cold.climate affects the composition of the soil making needles decompose slower, which makes rich soil develop more slowly. average temperature per year is 32°f the average temperature for the summer can be over 50°F, average winter temperature is under 26.6°F, highest temperature for the taiga biome has been 104°F.
