WHAT THEY DO AND WHERE THEY ARE.

WHAT FUNCTIONS DOES THE HYPOTHALAMUS HAVE?

  • It controls the Pituitary gland
  • It regulates thirst,hunger,and body temperature.

WHERE IS THE HYPOTHALAMUS LOCATED

  • The hypothalamus is located on the underside of the brain. It lies just below the thalamus and above the pituitary gland, which it is attached to by a stalk.

WHAT DOES THE PITUITARY GLAND DO?

  • The hormones it produces help regulate important functions, such as growth, blood pressure and reproduction.

WHERE IS THE PITUITARY GLAND LOCATED?

  • It is located just under the hypothalamus and before the brain stem.
