  • Venus got named by one of the Romans most important God.
  • Venus was named after the God of Love and Beauty.
  • A Roman group called the Babylonians referred Venus to "The Bright Queen Of The Night"

Why Was Earth Often Called Venus's Sister?

  • Earth was often called Venus's Sister because they only have a 638km difference in diameter.
  • Earth and Venus both had a central core,and a molten crust.
