PRESENTATION OUTLINE

TRANSPIRATION

BY TRENT HAMEL

The water starts in the soil and moves up and through the plant.

The water travels through the roots and up into the stem of the plant.

The water gets through the stem by going through these little straw like tubes called the xylem.

After the water is done traveling through the xylem, they head into the leaves..

The water exits the leaves through the stomates, which are little holes in the leaves.

The stomates are controlled by these little things called guard cells.

The water exits the stomates in the form of water vapor.

Then, that water gets rained out from the clouds, and the process begins all over again.
