Introduncion

  • Cancer is when cancer cells take over the other cells in your body. This can cause you to get very sick. Cancer causes 1 in 4 deaths, Cancer is also the 2nd most common cause of death in the US.

Causes

  • There a lots of causes for cancer, some reasons are Environmental Factors, Inherited Genetics, Tobacco, Infections, Stress, Radiation, and Lack of physical activity. These can all cause some kind of cancer .

Symptoms

  • Cough that does not go away, weight gain or loss for no reason, feeling weak or very tired, headaches, seizures, spinal cord compression, pain, patches inside mouth, white spots on tongue, yellowing of skin and eyes are some symptoms of cancer, if you have a lot of these it is possible you may have cancer.

Statistics

  • Around 39.6% of people will be diagnosed with cancer at some point during their life (based on 2010-2012 data). There are over 100 different types of cancer. In 2012 165,000 people 15 and under were diagnosed with cancer. Cancer is the 2nd most common cause of death in the USA. Cancer causes 1 in 4 deaths.

Staging

  • First, you should understand how serious your cancer is and your chances of survival. Next you plan the best treatment for you. Last identify clinical trials that may be treatment options for you.

Solution #1

  • Chemotherapy utilizes chemicals that interferes with the cell division process, so the cancer cells can commit suicide. Chemo is usually used to treat cancer patients that have had the cancer spread throughout their body. Chemo does have side effects such as hair loss and vomiting

Solution #2

  • Radiotherapy uses high energy rays on the cancer cells causing them to commit suicide. When you first start Radiotherapy it can cause severe side effects. Radiation also can shrink tumors.

  • Staying physically healthy can help prevent this that is not the only way to prevent this but it can help.
  • Dieting can also help before and after treatment it can help you feel better and stronger.
