He made the painting.

Ruby inspired Norman to create the painting.
This painting was on the cover of "Look" magazine.

INTEGRATION
Ruby bridges was a 6 year old child and the first child to integrate.
Ruby was born the same year that the supreme courts Brown vs Board
Of education decided to desegregate the schools.
5.
CIVIL RIGHTS
Her bravery caused the government to continue with the civil rights actions.

FAMILY
Due to Ruby's integration, her father lost his job, her grandparents had to
move off the land that they had sharecropped for 25 years.
The grocery store banned them from entering.
7.
AFTERWARDS
Families of both races sent their children back to school.
A neighbor provided Ruby's father with a job.
Their community began to protect Ruby and her family.
Robert Coles published a book called "The Story of Ruby Bridges"
